We waited to put up our review until after we had a chance to use this. When we first set up the Tailgater, we getting error messages and we tried calling Dish. They tried a few things and even sent us to a 2nd party troubleshooter but we had no success.

Would love to give it 5 stars. And I would, but few things make it just a bit short. But there is a hope, maybe with next firmware update...

First few bad things:
1. It has weird red interlacing problem. Any video, sat or Internet, progressive or interlaced, red color differential always two lines are swapped! This is got to be software bug in video processing base code. What makes it weird is that no such image defect is visible for luminance or blue color differential, only red. FYI, I'm using it through HDMI only. This video defect is subtle and most viewers would not be able to figure out why image just not crisp. Well, red interlacing is major factor here. Please see my closeup image of screen where you can clearly see interlacing problems on red and the rest of colors appeared to be finen
2. Often but not always, luminance getting interlacing jitter, for a second or so. Impression is the same as one above, image just not as crisp as other receivers.

3. There is no way to connect to non-broadcasting WiFi. I just happened to have home setup with non-broadcasting routers. Just to test this receiver I have to change my setup. I see absolutely no reason to not have ability to connect to non-broadcasting access point.
4. It runs HOT. I guess this is expected to some degree. I end up hanging it with the wires with all 6 sides getting fresh air flow. Still quite hot. This is most likely will limit life of this receiver. I might cut it pent to add some heat sinks.
